Characteristics
- NIPAMTM exhibits distinctive solubility behaviors in water and is useful in introducing strong polar amide group into hydrophobic polymer by suspension polymerization or emulsion polymerization.
- The NIPAMTM polymer water solution has a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) around 32°C. At this temperature or below, the polymer dissolves in water while it hardly dissolves in water at any temperature higher than that.
