Characteristics
- Excelling in compatibility, DMAATM dissolves in all solvents except n-hexane.
- As DMAATM readily copolymerizes with other vinyl monomers, different copolymers that vary in DMAATM content can be obtained.
- With the use of a radical polymerization initiator, solution polymerization, emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization, and mass polymerization of DMAATM can be swiftly implemented.
- DMAATM homopolymers exhibit high hygroscopic and anti-static properties although it is non-ionic substances.
- In the presence of a persulfate, crosslinking reaction between DMAATM and acrylamide proceeds in a aqueous solution of a DMAATM-acrylamide copolymer due to dehydrogenation of N-substituted methyl groups.
